African Wildlife Trust/Ivory Orphans recipient of the prestigious award in celebration and recognition of the admirable efforts being made to achieve Sustainable Tourism Development through Environment Conservation for their efforts in saving the African elephants. Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Lazaro Nyalandu presented the award to Pratik Patel, the president of African Wildlife Trust, the environment conservation award.
The Tourism for the Future Africa was created with the vision of motivating the regions tourism industry to become more sustainable highlighting the need for sustainable resource management and utilization. "I am extremely honored and humbled to receive this award on behalf of African Wildlife Trust/Ivory Orphans and the war on saving the African elephants. This award would not have been possible without the support of his excellency, the President Dr. Jakaya Kiwete, the Minister of Natural Resource, Hon. Lazaro Nyalandu, Permanent Secretary Dr. Meru, Wildlife Division of Tanzania, Tanzania National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Authority, Tanzania Tourism Board, the Friedkin Conservation Fund, and all the dedicated rangers who put their lives at stake everyday.
