The AWT walk for Elephants is into day 5 of their epic journey. Pratik Patel and his intrepid group have spoken to farmers, schoolchildren, shop owners, bus divers, young and old and everything inbetween!
The have two people who have come all the way from the California, USA to join! Maraya Cornell has been a fantastic supporter, sending photos to all on a regular basis. She is so efficient she’s almost become an assistant to Pratik! Thanks Maraya!
Today the group was joined by Leslie Griffiths. She is a very experienced reporter and has brought all of her photography and filming equipment with her to produce a documentary on the poaching crisis and interview Pratik to get his views. We are very excited about having her!
The only bad news to report are a few blistered feet, and new shoes and socks have been delivered to those suffering on the Walk.
When Pratik has finished the walk he will be jetting of to the USA, compliments of Turkish Airlines, AWT’s major sponsor. He will be meeting with potential sponsors to raise awareness and funds for anti-poaching operations in Tanzania.
More news to follow, we’ll keep you posted on the Walk for Elephants!
