Images from the climax of the anti-poaching awareness Walk for Elephants which started in Arusha on August 24th and ended in Dar es Salaam on September 12th.
Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Lazaro Nyalandu, applauded those who contributed to the awareness walk including the initiator of the walk, African Wildlife Trust (AWT) and the people from California, United States of America.
In recognising their big contribution, the Minister awarded them with certificates of recognition and thanked AWT for providing funds and equipment to the wildlife sector to support the war against poaching.
A massive thanks to Dan Friedkin for personally committing USD 2,250,000 to anti-poaching and conservation work in Tanzania. The Friedkin Conservation Fund has donated $100,000,000 over the last 10 years to conserving Tanzania’s wildlife.
