Protecting Africa's Endangered Wildlife
The African Wildlife Trust developed out of a concern for protecting the elephant populations of Tanzania. The awareness campaign in January 2012 developed into an organization focused on providing a specialized anti-poaching unit and team of conservation consultants in proactive, effective wildlife law enforcement. Through creating a team who has the ability to work across a public-private partnership in locations throughout the country, AWT believes Tanzania can transition conservation into a proactive instead of reactive sector and be set part as one of the most enterprising countries in wildlife and natural resource protection.
A wonderful interview with AWT's leader, Pratik Patel, by Radio Host, Mandela van Eeden, on The Trail 103.3 FM, a locally produced outdoor adventure series, “The Trail Less Traveled.” The show is about taking the listener back to mankind's earliest form of entertainment, storytelling, and interviewing adventurers from all walks of life.
